Adorable Christmas Stocking

I will rate this as great because I love the picture so much. I have only just started stitching on it this past weekend. I was a little worried about the 2 page pattern but it is going well. I thought I would need a pattern stand and line magnifier but no, I can do without. My challenge will be the assembly - I am not a fan of sewing but my first cross stitch stocking was easier to sew than my second needlepoint stocking. So I am glad to be back to cloth instead of canvas.

different color aida cloth
I have this pattern at home but would like a shade of pale pink or pale lavender instead of the light blue it comes with, making it for a girl not a boy. What color would you suggest?
