Like a painting
The subtle changes in thread shading and the differences in the number of threads in the needle combine to give this piece of art depth. I'm the kind of stitcher who likes to color within the lines, so I did half and other partial stitches on the cardinals to help give them more definition. It was well worth the time.

So beautiful
It is so pretty and elegant. Absolutely easy but tiring for the eyes on the red threads. Can't wait to find the right frame.

This is a beautiful picture that looks so real.
This pattern is so beautiful. Go slowly with the colors of the birds and you will have them come out just wonderful. They look so real. The tedious part is stitching all of the pine needles. Stay at it and you will have a beauty of counted cross stitch. I made mine for my daughter in-law.

Stamped cross stitch patterns
I am interested in stamped patterns I am not successful with counted at all. I am looking at winter cardnils and lean scenes but all they say is pattern under them very few are stamped already for those who have trouble with a blank page and counting is is needed...

Alternative Aida Cloth
I would like to order the Winter Cardinals kit, however I do not believe my eyesight is good enough for the Aida 16 "Dove Grey". Can you recommend an alternative Aida 14 count, say in ice blue or grey or other ??
I would order the kit and then place an additional order for the Aida 14 cloth.
