Sweet Dreams Recorda Cross Stitch Kit by Vervaco

I'm out of 3 colors of thread and not finished with even half of the project. I've had trouble with knotting and shredding, so I've had to throw a lot out. The web site description says it's DMC, but I've never had this much trouble before. Also, the kit doesn't list the DMC numbers so I've not been able to buy additional thread. This is supposed to be a gift for my grand niece; would really like to get it finished. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Jean

I took a chance ordering this as there were no reviews. I'm so glad I did. It is a beautiful, sweet record of a child's birth. The only recommendation I have is to take colored pencils and assign a color to each symbol. I did this and spent a morning coloring in the pattern. It is very busy pattern and this made it much easier to see where the pattern group was. If you've done any cross-stitching, I think this would be a great project for you. It uses cross-stitch, half cross-stitch, long stitch and back stitch. Recommend this highly!!!
