Thy Love More Stronga Cross Stitch Pattern by Blackbird Designs

I love this beautiful sampler! My only issue is with the thread color choices. Different threads are so close to being the same color that there is little distinction between them. There is also one symbol that is not represented in the color chart so I just picked one that looked close to the cover model. The cover model has several places that are absolutely a different color than what is called for on the chart. I had to adjust accordingly. The house windows on my finished piece have no definition between the windows and the panes because the colors called for are nearly identical. I’m going to have to go back and do some backstitching around the windows to distinguish between the panes and the outlines so they don’t look like blobs. I love the beautiful hand-dyed threads but on this project, they need to have more balance and contrast. Regardless, this is a beautiful sampler. Just realize you’ll need to play with other colors to make it look like the cover model or customize to your liking. Blackbird Designs are still some of my favorite pieces.
