I purchased a pattern and 4 skeins of dmc floss. I received sullivans floss instead. I have never heard of this brand and compared to my dmc floss it is not the same quality. It kinks very easily and I was wondering how it will look with the picture stitched in both dmc and sullivans floss.

Happy Wednesday morning everyone. The windows are open and the cottage can breathe. I don't know how long it will last, but I'll take it after the heat. The garden is thriving this year and the little flowers on the tomatoes are bursting. I finished the first angel on "Rock and Roll" yesterday and enjoyed a stitchy day. while working on my project, "Little Ballerina" I ran out of pink color #600...only had the legs to finish. Michaels' didn't have it and Joanne went out of business (so sad) So I sent for 2 of them from ECS. Woe is me, while starting to finish the legs, I noticed the colors were slightly darker than the rest of the Ballerina...Oh gosh, different dye lot ! Nothing I can do about this... Now I know, do not start a project until you have MORE floss than what is called for in the instructions. Thia is the second time this has happened to me. Very frustrating. Has this ever happened to any of you ? So now her legs are a slightly differnt color than the rest of the little ballerina, Hope my little 3 year old great grandaughter doesn't notice ......???

Good Tuesday morning everyone. No outside work today and still under the heat wave. All seems to have settled down in the Middle East and we can pray for a lasting peace. Today will be a quiet stitching day and hopefully a typical Tuesday!

Morning everyone! Yesterday evening, my GS stopped to watch the news with me when he realized it was about Iran & what's happening in the world. He sat in the rocker truly engrossed in what was being said. I had already thought of it but when he looked at me & said, ya know, if WW3 breaks out, we'll be drafted. It broke my heart to think of someone that young & innocent being sent to war. If he should go to the military, he would be a 5th generation to do so. At least all of our family members survived several wars. Please pray for everyone that serves this country ~~ and right now, for the crews of the bombers that flew that mission! So happy they all returned safely.

Good Monday morning everyone. Hope everyone is staying cool if you're in the heat area. Today is more of the limb cutting on our trees. The mail lady is going to thank us. Six months on WW today and 33.6 pounds gone - 15 to go. I've got this! Still stitching on "Rock and Roll" and contemplating what to stitch next month. So many choices! Have a marvelous week!
