After several years of trying….we have hollyhocks! Tried something different on the side of the driveway this year…it’s been a slow start, but it’s getting better!

I have crochet dolls. Granny square quilts and cross stitch towels plus crochet hand towels. I have tried farmers markets and craft shows. People look but won't buy basically because they want to pay $20.00 for a creation that costs at the minimum $100.00 just for the supplies. I had one lady tell me she would pay me $10.00 for a hand crochet lap quilt. I have been diagnosed with periodic seizures and lost my job because of the diagnosis. I am just looking for a way to make a little bit of money to pay my bills. E Bay doesn't work because they want more money then I can afford.

Good Tuesday morning everyone. Today is floor washing day. I'd rather do that when it's cooler outside like it is and then tackle the mermaid again. I think I'll work on her for 2 weeks and then switch back over to "Lady Seated at her Needlework" and stay focused on these two full coverage pieces. Waiting for the fall issue of JCS so I can do the small fall piece that goes with the spring and summer one. Hopefully it will be a typical Tuesday!

I used to cross stitch years ago. And I want to get back to it. And I want to teach my sister. But all I am seeing is these fabrics with pre-printed pictures on them. I want to do & teach my sister how to do it with a totally blank fabric & do it the old school way. Are there still cross stitch pictures around like that & what wording do I use to get them to display. There are no needle point or cross stitch stores here.
