Two Weddings β€οΈ π°π½ββοΈ π€΅π½
In two months are on our calendar. The first one weβve known about since June, and it is this Saturday. A relative has decided to marry his wife in a Catholic wedding. We are not in the wedding party. Guests are asked to dress semi-formal. The groom asked us if we would be the couple who presents the gifts of bread and wine during the Mass. We said yes. It is such an honor. Iβve attached a picture from the internet that explains it better than I can.
The second wedding of a friend happens at the end of November. It is an out of town wedding. The wedding invitation says casual attire. Weβve been told boots and jeans is acceptable. This is Texas. No problem! Road trip!
It is fun to have happy occasions to look forward to! π
GOOD MORNING - What's on your mind TUESDAY
Good Tuesday morning everyone. New refrigerator is working like a charm and it has a lot more room. We spent most of the day deep cleaning the kitchen and rearranging everything inside. So, it was pizza delivery later -- a thin crust from Marco's. I did get all my leaves stitched yesterday and today it's backstitching and "Harvest Basket" will be finished. Have a terrific Tuesday!
Still Hereβ¦One Year Later
Good morning βοΈ everyone. One year ago today, at this very time, I was waiting for my family to take me to the hospital for a full hysterectomy due to endometrial cancer. Had the full robotic surgery- which I completely recommend- and then had to deal with the rest, which was not easy. Did not have a lot of time to process the diagnosis, and to be honest, I tried to ignore it all during this year. Just kept going. But I take time today to thank the Lord because I received the best news possible afterwards, and to date, I seem to be ok. I am having hip pains that no one has been able to diagnose. But I could have spent a large part of the year doing chemo and radiation, which I did not have to do because they βthinkβ they got it all. Still checking up on me, fingers crossed, π€ I guess. I am grateful for my family- especially my sisters- who were there for me. βΊοΈ One of my sisters has called me EVERY DAY since my surgery. Every day. My brother-in-law and my nephew. Canβt forget my nephew. My niece was away, but my nephew was wonderful. π₯° I want to thank all of you who wished me well and who have been supportive to me. It really helped to reach out to you. The year went by fast. I do not know what the future holds. But I am still here. A little melancholy today. Melancholia and gratefulness are a weird combo, but as you age in life, some things do not surprise you. Have a good day. And thank youβ¦ π₯Ή
Finished

Cross stitch or crochet
she always finds her comfortable spot in the middle of it. Love her so much. I am on the last four squares on my SIL's afghan. I thought it was done yesterday but when I whipstitched it together both DH and I thought it wasn't wide enough plus it looked more like a rectangle then a square. We both thought 4 more squares should make it big enough and look more square. Sometimes you just have to modify a pattern. π
Cross stitch border fabric
I am looking for 2β wide cross stitch border fabric in cream color. 14 count.
Pattern
I just bought a pattern. This pattern is in PDF or you send a print pattern? Thank you!!!
GOOD MORNING - What's on your mind MONDAY
Good full moon Monday morning everyone. Today the new refrigerator gets delivered so I'll be busy cleaning behind this one and doing our kitchen floor. I think I like practical gifts that we can both enjoy. It's not a fancy fridge, simple, stainless steel, functional with no bells and whistles. I think today will be the day I finish "Harvest Basket" I just have to stitch 8 more leaves and backstitch them. Getting itchy to go work on the mermaid or the lady seated at her needlework. Have a marvelous Monday and a great week.
Lavender and Lace angels
I just found 3 old patterns that had been given to me!
Angel of Love is in good condition with a few small holes on the corner folds.
Guardian Angel is partially highlighted by previous stitcher. This is an Angel holding a baby, NOT the one with 2 kids on a bridge! The picture is not with it.
Angel of Mercy is in excellent condition. Doesn't even look like it has been completely unfolded!
If you would like to be the new owner, leave a comment here! If there are lots of you interested, I will draw names! "Free to a good home "

GOOD MORNING - What's on your mind THURSDAY
Good Thursday morning everyone. First the good news, Poppy is up walking, slowly but surely. The vet said she has a pulled muscle and no nerve or disc damage. We are still carrying her up and down stairs and she's still doing a lot of rest. Next the sad news, I found out that our Hayjax (the other Chris) passed away this past June. I really loved her humor, which she kept, in spite of her many health issues. I enjoyed her stories about Blue and she was a wealth of cross stitch information. She was open-minded and navigated political differences with much grace and kept an open mind about others with different opinions. I still have the recipe she e-mailed me for pineapple/zucchini bread. It's hard to believe, but you really do form relationships on here with people you have never met, yet you feel they are an important part of your life. Have a thoughtful Thursday everyone.
