Hi everyone.... (Not cross stitch)
While at my parents house and doing shopping for our 25 wedding anniversary....my sis and her kids decided we should put the veggies and plants in front and back gardens βΊοΈ. It was doing great dad on side of garage fiddling with the wheel barrel and us getting soil out of back bed of nephews pick up...mom was supervising from her walker seat. She had knee surgery couple yrs back and it was feeling irritated....
Well things took a spin ..their 4 dogs 2sm 2 med got out and sat next to her ( like they usually do).. apparently 1 caught with the leash ( they all had leases on) the bottom of her walker and down she went...of course we were 3 feet away with our backs turned to her... She fell on her left side and yep crushed her humerus at her left shoulder...I guess when you break it in more the 3 spots it's crushed...π₯Ή.
We tried to lift her with dad supervising ( he tried and succeeded in keeping her in great spirits) we just couldn't go near her arm ..we ended up call ambulance non emergency they came and ended up having to giving her pain injection because she was in so much pain ...she went to hospital, it's not something they'll do surgery on for about a week...π₯΄
She's home on Motrin and Tylenol....and in a sling...my sister still has her left arm in a cast....π, from Thanksgiving.
Please pray for my mom's speedy safe recovery and my sanity, on Wednesday we have her sister's memorial.

GOOD MORNING - What's on your mind SUNDAY
Good Saturday morning everyone. Finally got our plants yesterday and today the wind has died down and can plant. Its hostas, English thyme, zucchini, impatiens, and geraniums. I actually found red and white geraniums. I stitched the first queen on "The Queen of Hearts" and love her. Looking for a peaceful day today and wishing you all a happy Sunday.

I love you, Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock my fortress and my deliverer, my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Prayer: Lord may my heart be gentle and kind and show compassion to others. Fill me with praise as I remember Your goodness and all the ways You have helped me.

Scroll frame.
(Not a great picture but you can kind of make out the type of frame by the connection in the corner)
I have 2 scroll frames, one handed down from my mom, one I found at a second hand store, both have the type of rids thst are split down the center to keep the fabric in place. I have 2 issues, one is that the rods won't stay tight against the middle of the fabric, making it slack while the edges are taut. The other is that the wingnuts used to tighten the rods dig into my skin when I rest it against myself. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to fix these issues.
Will the wooden knobs help or will they be too big? The wingnuts are on the back of the frame.
I don't want to use any plastic products if possible.
While I'm here I may as well also ask; does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep my arms, wrists, and fingers from getting tired and hurting? Unfortunately I'm only 26 and disabled. This craft has given me something that makes me feel accomplished, but I find my arms, wrists, and fingers getting painful after a bit. Does anyone have any tips for me on how to prevent this?
I'm sorry if this isn't the right place to put this, I'm brand new to this site!

GOOD MORNING - What's on your mind SATURDAY
Good Saturday morning everyone. Yesterday we had a dust storm here. Very, very windy, and the sky looked really weird. Today its a trip to Menard's to buy the hostas (finally) and annual flowers for our flower pots. We decided to downsize some more and the two aquariums are going to a good home. Less is more. It's just too much work. Some stitching in order today and some down time. This week has just gone too fast. Have a happy weekend!
