GOOD MORNING - What's on your mind TUESDAY
Good Tuesday morning everyone! Cool front is supposed to last until Memorial Day and taking advantage of it giving me more stitching time this week. Not much else going on and it's nice after last week and all those errands and appointments. Have a good Tuesday everyone and and enjoy just being!
Thoughts....not cross stitch
Hello everyone! It's been a while since I posted anything. I've been busy navigating multiple layers of life so to speak. Work life has been difficult & my anxiety level has been higher than normal. Short version is the cardiology ofc & CT surgery ofc moved to another location & I was asked to move to yet another location. My ofc had floor to ceiling windows with a great 1st floor view. Although I was promised an ofc with a window, I'm now stuck in solitary confinement as I call it. A cubby-hole in a back corner on the top floor of the bldg. I know no one in this dept and frankly have no idea what my job is. Half of my equipment is still in the old ofc so I can't do much anyway. miss my co-workers a great deal. I only want to work until my GS graduates so this is going to be one long year for sure. On a brighter note, I'm scheduled for my qtrly back injection this Friday - looking forward to being functional and pain free for a bit. The GS is going to be with his other grandparents for the holiday weekend and I will have 4 days of rest. I see stitching & crochet work with movies....and perhaps some soul searching about these changes. Changes at this time in my life seem to be harder to deal with - especially when I had no control over it. God works in mysterious ways so I'm trying to adapt, adjust and go with it. I would appreciate kind words of wisdom from my friends here.....wishing you all a safe & Happy Memorial day weekend. Hugs!! Deb2

kreinik substitution
Does anyone have a suggestion for what to substitute for the Kreinik #4 braid - citron? Thanks in advance for any help!
Looking for pattern
Good afternoon, fellow stitchers! I am looking for a printed cross stitch pattern of the poem "God's Garden" (God looked around His garden, He saw an empty space...) I found a PDF but I guess I'm old fashioned, I prefer a print paper pattern. (Plus, I don't have a printer!) I want to stitch this in honor and memory of my late mother who enjoyed gardening, especially rose gardening, but had to give it up as degenerative arthritis took its toll. Any help is greatly appreciated. Many thanks! Happy stitching.

Patriotic Gnomes Welcome
I realize it’s the middle of May but I’m trying to see this for a Veteran’s Nursing Home in TN for the 4th of July! I made them the ‘Patriotic Eagle’ in the beginning of this year in red, white and blue! Still needed ironed!!
Watermill Cross Stitch
Hi,
Is this a counted cross stitch kit? I don’t like when the pattern is on the fabric.
Thank you,

Hi everyone.... (Not cross stitch)
While at my parents house and doing shopping for our 25 wedding anniversary....my sis and her kids decided we should put the veggies and plants in front and back gardens ☺️. It was doing great dad on side of garage fiddling with the wheel barrel and us getting soil out of back bed of nephews pick up...mom was supervising from her walker seat. She had knee surgery couple yrs back and it was feeling irritated....
Well things took a spin ..their 4 dogs 2sm 2 med got out and sat next to her ( like they usually do).. apparently 1 caught with the leash ( they all had leases on) the bottom of her walker and down she went...of course we were 3 feet away with our backs turned to her... She fell on her left side and yep crushed her humerus at her left shoulder...I guess when you break it in more the 3 spots it's crushed...🥹.
We tried to lift her with dad supervising ( he tried and succeeded in keeping her in great spirits) we just couldn't go near her arm ..we ended up call ambulance non emergency they came and ended up having to giving her pain injection because she was in so much pain ...she went to hospital, it's not something they'll do surgery on for about a week...🥴
She's home on Motrin and Tylenol....and in a sling...my sister still has her left arm in a cast....😆, from Thanksgiving.
Please pray for my mom's speedy safe recovery and my sanity, on Wednesday we have her sister's memorial.

GOOD MORNING - What's on your mind MONDAY
Good I'm positive its Monday morning everyone. One large mug of coffee in hand and I'm ready to take on the new week. We're hoping it's not as busy as it was last week. We're having a cold snap and spring has sprung backwards once again. Today is stir fry night and we have the pork marinating. I know we'll be freezing some of it. It's a light chore day and more stitching on "Queen". I chose cranberry from CCW for the middle queen and its the only time I will use that color. Wishing everyone an excellent week ahead.
