Prayers please.
Prayers for a co-worker's mother who is at the end of her life from cancer. I think it's day by day now. Also prayers for the family. Thanks!
Strawberry Quilt Doily
What do you do when you know how to quilt, hand sew, and crochet? Make a quilt doily of course! I watched a class on the technique a few weeks ago. Last Saturday my vision returned to let me crochet again, with Aunt Lydia's Fashion 3 crochet thread even! I've already started on a second one with a lemon theme. Fruit is so cute! I hope I never forget how grateful I am to be able to read, sew, and crochet again.
Wrong Color
In this pattern the Cosmo color 117 conversion to DMC should be 3348 NOT 3848 (it's too TEAL)

GOOD MORNING - What's on your mind FRIDAY
Good Friday morning everyone. It's raining and the humidity will be awful today so it's inside for the most part. I call it a finally Friday sort of week because this heat wave will be over by Tuesday. I finished page 4 of "Rock and Roll" and on to page 5 and the part with the script. Also looking forward to the JCS Halloween issue. Not much on tap today and that's fine with us. Have a fabulous Friday.
GOOD MORNING - What's on your mind Saturday
Happiest of Saturdays everyone. Not much going on today other than Bryan rearranging his workshop in the garage and I'll have another quiet, peaceful day to stitch and just be alone with my thoughts. It's funny how he'll text me from the garage to come look at this progress. I did the script yesterday on "Rock and Roll" and I changed it completely. There was no way I was going to stitch over 1 on aida cloth. I might add some notes and a treble clef to embellish it more. I think it will be Italian beef night and it will be minimal cooking. I love days like that especially when it's hot. This is me about 10 years ago in Southern Colorado with my akita. Sure miss that dog! Have a satisfying Saturday.

Little Ballerina
while working on my project, "Little Ballerina" I ran out of pink color #600...only had the legs to finish. Michaels' didn't have it and Joanne went out of business (so sad) So I sent for 2 of them from ECS. Woe is me, while starting to finish the legs, I noticed the colors were slightly darker than the rest of the Ballerina...Oh gosh, different dye lot ! Nothing I can do about this... Now I know, do not start a project until you have MORE floss than what is called for in the instructions. Thia is the second time this has happened to me. Very frustrating. Has this ever happened to any of you ? So now her legs are a slightly differnt color than the rest of the little ballerina, Hope my little 3 year old great grandaughter doesn't notice ......???

Christian Stitchers Daily 6/28/25
By faith Noah when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.
Hebrews 11:7 NIV
Christian Stitchers Daily 6/27/25
By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: "He could not be found, because God had taken him away." For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Hebrews 11:5 NIV
GOOD MORNING - What's on your mind THURSDAY
Good Thursday morning everyone. The heat is back and windows are shut, but yesterday was sure nice. Spending a lot of time outside stitching and watching our garden grow. I know, not very exciting, but enjoying retirements simple pleasures is enough. Today is a short shopping and homemade pizza night. Have an excellent day!
Help - lost stitch/color key to old pattern
I lost the stitch/color key to an old pattern, and if anyone has such I would appreciate getting a copy. The kit is 6872-The Gold Collection Petites "Fanciful Butterfly", 6"x6" on 18-count ivory Aida. It could be 25 years old.
