Had to go to two stores to get the colors I needed, but started on a new piece today. Excited to be working on a cross stitch project again.

Happy Sunday morning everyone. A beautiful day in store, but still a bit on the cool side. Finished "Queen of Hearts" and started on the "Rock and Roll" sampler. I took Kathy's advice and am using one strand of floss on this 18 ct. fabric. Its looking pretty darn good. Will be getting the crock pot fired up in a bit to make bbq'd beef because I want to stitch in peace today. Have a splendid Sunday all!

Good Saturday morning everyone. Well, this time it was Buddy. We have a cardinal nest in our winter creeper going up on the garage and one of the nestlings fell out. Before Bryan could retrieve it, Buddy ate it. Now there's only one baby bird and the parents were really mad. I know its what dogs and cats do, but still. Today is the day and I get to stitch the last queen! Perfect timing because we go to Hobby Lobby next month for some mats and frames. Happy last day of the coldest May in a long time!

Last night I went to move the SUV in the garage further inside because storms would be happening later. We do this so my husband can move the truck into the garage just enough to protect the windshield from hail. When I tried to start the car, there was a buzzing noise, the parking lights were flashing, and the dashboard had all these warning lights that lit up. My husband was standing in front of the car and witnessed the noisy light show. We already had an appointment at the dealer's for tomorrow morning for a routine oil change. We tried to start the car today and zero lights. Now, we have a tow truck scheduled for 8 a.m. tomorrow morning. We are thankful the car malfunctions happened at home and not on the street in the pouring rain or extreme heat. We keep a blessed St. Christopher medal in the SUV and pray to him for safe journeys. We also give thanks to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit for watching over us. What I told my husband was the dashboard never gave us any warning signals that anything was wrong. This car even tells the driver that Roads May Be Icy. So all this took us completely off guard. Car troubles are not fun when they come as a surprise.

Good Friday morning everyone. Today is the day "The Queen of Hearts" will be finished. This cool, cloudy weather has certainly added more stitching time. Starting Monday we will finally be in the 80's and more outside time and hopefully a fishing outing. Today is some light chores and later beanie weenie night. Happy Friday!
