Cute but challenging
This girl is really cute but a little hard to stitch. There’s a lot of floss blending and color changes, which made it easy to lose my place, and finding where the back stitching went was really challenging. There are a few quarter stitches in her face, shoes and the birds, and 3 or 4 French knots. My suggestions: 1) if you’re a gridder, grid this one, and 2) back stitch as you go, don’t save it all for the end. Back stitching her mouth is one of the few things I have left and it’s about to put me over the edge! Edit: I used 16 count Aida but wonder if a looser, less stiff fabric like linen would have made the back stitch easier.
